NOTICE!! Orders During Ramadan and Aidil Fitri

Dear Friends,

For your information, we will be in full operation during this festive season except for ONE WEEK, that is, the last three days of Puasa and the first four days of Hari Raya.

Orders for BEFORE and AFTER our one week break can be made in advance. Actually, we would appreciate it if you can put in your orders as early as possible as we would only be able to handle so many orders! So really, it would be on a 'first come, first serve' basis! It would not be in our interest to collect as many orders as possible and not be able to produce our highest quality of work on your goodies! (That is what we, ahem, are getting to be known for!! ;)).

Also during Ramadan, due to the restrictive time, delivery time to D'Anggerek Service Apartment (our pick-up point for our goodies) will be at 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm only. So please indicate to us what time you would prefer to pick up your order to ensure your goodies are fresh!

Birthday Cakes Surrounded By Mini Cupcakes

We did this as a surprise for sister in law, Fadila, last Tuesday and she ordered a bigger cake cake with mini cupcakes for her and her 2 sister in laws two days later! The smaller chocolate cake costs $25 as it has chocolate marble decorations on the sides. ths bigger cake costs $50. The chocloate cupcakes are $60 cents each either topped with fondant flowers or sprinkles.As a package we can do orders like these according to your requests.

Birthday Cupcakes

This unique birthday cupcakes was done for Ejam recently. These designs can only be done on large sized cupcakes, because on the mini cupcakes, it would really be quite messy and well, would not have the effect that we tried to create here!

With elaborate motives, designs and wordings, we could charge $1.80 for each cupcake. The slight difference in price is for the time and effort!

New designs for "Hazel Cupcakes"

Our Hazel cupcakes design are getting more ‘intricate’ as Jasmine gets more creative with the icing techniques and skills. These beauties were tried out recently and received lots of “oohs” and “aahs” from our audience (the children!!). Now it comes to the point of saying “sayang jua kan di makan, luan lawa!” (“shame to eat them, they are so pretty”!). We are finally satisfied with the sponge cupcakes for the base, so as the lil’ cakes would taste great and stands well with the icing on top.

We can do the cupcakes in colours of your choice but we can only limit it to 2-3 colours (additional charge will have to be applied if more colours are requested). The ones shown above were done using lilac, pink and white vanilla buttercream. We can also do simple designs to your liking which we can discuss further. The cupcakes comes in either chocolate or vanilla flavours.

Once again, the costs are as follows:
Large (minimum order of 16 pcs) are $1.50 each
Medium (minimum order of 36 pcs) are $0.80 each
Small / Mini (minimum order of 49 pcs) are $0.40 each
By the way, we had put those minimum numbers because that is what fits into one box nicely!! It would be a shame to have the lil' cuppy cakes's icing destroyed during the time of transportation!

Shepherds Pie

Today's dish is Shepherds' Pie. This is an old English recipe that we have adapted to suit our local palate. We use 100% mince beef and whipped mashed potatoes on top. If you were to order it, we recommend you heat it up again in the oven and serve it piping hot!

A small aluminium container (approx. 6" x 2.5") would cost $4.00
A large aluminium container (approx. 10" x 8") would cost $35.00

Children's Birthday Cake

Our nephew, Ayden's first birthday cake! The number '1' was an actual cake by itself that was placed on top of the chocolate cake. It was all covered in chocolate ganache and decorated well with M & Ms! The cost of this cake is $50 and we would of course discuss on the design of your choice.

Our Tiramisu!

We present to you our tiramisu. This was probably one that the family had concocted years ago - during the time when tiramisu was mainly laced with alchohol. Thus we came up with this alternative. A favourite amongst many. We offer ours in individual plastic cups!

Each would cost $2.00 each. A minimum of 10 cups per order would nicely fill a box snugly or you can order an aluminium tray (sized at 10" x 8") which would cost $40.00 .

Birthday Cake Ordered!

Last weekend we had an order for a chocolate cake with a Subaru logo! Actually the logo was to be in the center of a Subaru car which I had managed to ruin at the last minute due to icing run ins!! So we made it simpler and just did the logo! Still Nora smsed us to say she loved the cake and we featured her cupcake order in an older post. Thanks again Nora for your order and we hope your husband had a good birthday!

Our Lasagne

Today's entry is our lasagne! This is a recipe that has been tried and tested over the last fifteen years! We only use 100% mince beef and with our own special sauce! You can purchase it already cooked or you can get it uncooked from us, ready to put in the oven. All you have to do once you get it is simply to put it in the oven for half an hour and enjoy it piping hot thereafter!!

The lasagne comes in two sizes.

6" x 2.5" (small) which would cost $ 5.00

10" x 8" (large) which would cost $ $40.00

Office Olympics First winner

The Kristal FM office olympics went underway yesterday and the first winner was Syazwana Production House. Well done guys! This morning we sent them their chocolate cake..I hope there was enough for everybody. I thought the gold medallion would be appropriate! Well done again!

Hazel Cupcakes strikes again!

These little delights are becoming to be quite a seller with many customers. These were ordered recently by Elma and Nora. They also ordered a birthday cake and mars bars cheesecake which we will put up pictures of soon. Thank you for the orders ladies and we hope they were well and truly enjoyed!

Chocolate Cupcakes!

Whenever we try different cupcakes (no offense to any chefs out there!!), we always find them to be so pretty and almost too perfect to hold, however we always get rather disappointed in eating them, because they really are not so great in taste! So a plan was hatched and devised in creating cupcakes that is as lovely in taste as in their looks!!

These particular batch were made with a rich chocolate cake recipe and half decorated using chocolate ganache and the other half using smooth rich buttercream, topped off with these sprinkles.
Due to the extensive use of chocolate in making these babies, the cost is slightly higher than our normal sponge cupcakes as featured in our Hazel cupcakes.

These cupcakes comes in two sizes small and medium.

Fresh Mango Baked Cheesecake

With the abundance of mangoes at the moment, we tried out this mango baked cheesecake. It is rich yet not sweet. The cake has a base of biscuits with a slight crunch. Topped with fresh slices of mango and mango jelly, it is a desert well worth the wait! I would recommend this for desert or teatime treat. I can also see it as a birthday cake with a difference. The cake is 12 inches large and costs $40.

Creamy cupcakes

We tried out making these creamy cupcakes today and they were hit with everybody. The top ones are vanilla lemon cupcakes with a really light vanilla buttercream, topped with a fondant daisy. I am not really a fan of fondant icing, yes they look nice but tastewise they don't taste of much!! But hey they are sooo pretty and these flowers are quite small and cute, it makes no difference. The cupcakes on the other hand are really soft with a tinge of lemon.

Medium cupcake size at $1.00 for each cupcake with a minimum order of 36 pieces

Supermini size at $0.60 with a minimum order of 49 pieces.

The decorations is up to you and we can discuss this further and give you the quotations accordingly.

The second cupcakes I did were these old fashioned chocloate cupcake, topped with chocolate fudge buttercream. I also decorated these with cute little heart sprinkles.

Mini sizes cost $0.60 each with a minimum order of 49 pieces,

Medium size costs $1.00 each with a minimum order of 36 pieces.

These was of course, a hit with the family (only because we are such chocoholics!!).

Cute cupcakes

These cute mini cupcakes were done for Hazel who has always loved these! Thanks again for the order Hazel (maybe we should start calling them the Hazel Cupcakes!!!) Aaaanyway, a box of 49 mini cucpcakes with simple designs like these will cost $19. Again these do take up a lot of time especially with the icing so please give us at least 2 days notice. E-mail us at the usual address for your orders.

Cakes that you can win!

We went to Kristal FM this morning to showcase our products for an upcoming game that DJ Jenny will be hosting during the Olypics season called "Office Olympics". So listen up to Kristal FM and your office might just walk away with one of these box of goodies!! You will be mightily popular for the rest of the year - if you want to do it the easier way, simply order these cakes from us! The top picture is our mini pavlovas priced at $1.20 each and the minimum order is 30 pieces. The second picture is our mini chocolate eclairs filled with soft chocolate custard cream, they are the mini eclairs, priced at $0.50 each and there is minimum order of 32 pieces. We can do larger versions of these and the minimum order would be 25pieces at a cost of $1.00 each.

The third picture is our rich chocolate cake- as Jenny said its the real thing not a sponge cake but a rich and moist dense chocolate cake. This costs $60.00 upwards, with extra decorations please e-mail us and we can quote you the price.

The bottom picture is of our carrot cupcakes- made with real carrots and almonds and topped with a cream cheese frosting. The cost for this size is $1.20 each and the minimum order is 36 pieces.

We haven't quite gotten the art of photography yet .. but these are quite yummy and would be a treat to watch the Olympics with!

Blueberry CheeseCake

This is a classic cake that seems to fit in so well with any meals albeit Western or local cuisine! Topped with blueberry and lathered with cream, it is a scrumptious treat. When it comes for 'older' birthday celebrants, we do cakes of different flavours and designs. But of course being the chocoholics that we are, we really recommend our rich chocolate cake, this simple design with strawberries and white chocolate decorations comes in 2 sizes.

Large (12 inches) - $50.00

We can do a larger version ofcourse in this case a square one at 14 inches.- $70.00.

The decorations are of course entirely to your liking and we will do our best to make it look as decadent as possible!
